Won in partnership with Ramboll consulting engineers, this project replaces 119 beach huts that where damaged in winter storms. The challenging brief required the new huts to resist a 1:200 year storm event. The design uses precast concrete and brings the promenade onto the roof of the huts, transforming the public realm.
