Hope Street in an innovative project for charity, One Small Thing, located in Southampton. It is a progressive pilot project that supports a healing trauma service for women caught up in the justice system that applies trauma informed design. Hope Street won the prestigious RIBA MacEwen Award in 2024. This is the leading national award for Architecture for the Common Good. It is a wonderful recognition of Hope Street's quality, both in terms of design and social impact. One of the RIBA Award judge’s stated; ‘Hope Street is the only project that almost had me crying… we hear of the architect as being a doctor of space and this is an example of architecture that is healing people,’ The project utilised cross-laminated timber and achieved BREEAM Outstanding.
