Alteration to existing property
This was a unique opportunity to design and create a beautifully crafted office to provide a new home for ourselves in Homerton, Hackney. It comprised the conversion of an existing shell and core office space on the ground floor of a seven storey residential building close to Homerton station. The CAT A & B fitout is a mixture of retained exposed concrete and masonry, countered with the softer tones of pale birch plywood and douglas fir flooring. Exposed services, ducting and trunking provide an industrial feel, with all ironmongery also reflecting this aesthetic. The playful use of colour provides a functional way finding & balances the expression of raw materials. A central entrance lobby, furnished with bespoke crafted LED lights, provides direct access to two self contained office spaces. A grander double height communal gathering space is situated to the rear of the floor plan where both offices can join to host events and enjoy the social space convivially. This space connects the kitchen, meeting rooms and supporting facilities, whilst also being served by a HD projector and screen for presentation and entertainment events.
