The complete renovation and extension of a semi-detached Victorian house in Wandsworth. The client wanted to return the property to its former splendour whlst incorporating a light modern touch. Where possible historic features were retained or reinstated. A new structurally glazed extension was added at the rear of the property to fill the main living space with north light. We also added a new basement, increasing the total floor area by 30%. The interior design aimed to emphasize the innate character of the building, creating contrasting spaces of light and shade, whilst mixing period and modern features.
