Fairburn Tower is a rare example of a surviving tower house from the Scottish Renaissance. The category A listed ruin required extensive repair work and carefully considered modern interventions to transform it to provide unique holiday accommodation for The Landmark Trust. A key part of the project’s success was the close collaboration between client, contractor, consultants and the practice’s in house archaeology and heritage consultancy teams.
