A complex project united two Grade I listed townhouses on Bath’s iconic Royal Crescent, returning them to their original combined form as a public museum and education centre. Working closely with the Bath Preservation Trust and multiple stakeholders, we navigated sensitive listed building consent to create new interpretive spaces, including a “below stairs” visitor experience and gallery accommodation. Every intervention was historically informed yet carefully judged, allowing the architecture, interiors, and narrative of the building to work in concert within one of Britain’s most significant urban set pieces.
