This 400 dwelling design of new residential apartments with shops and offies on the ground floor is in the countryside outside St.Petersburg, Russia. A sizeable SKA team in the UK and Russia managed the design in a short time frame and with restricting constraints. the site is in a historic region with height restrictions and the requirement for pitched roofs; and specific economic thresholds from the client. The proposal has high standards of thermal insulation, using thermal blocks with triple glazings. The plans were fully coordinated in BIM with the engineering teams. Differently coloured bricks to distinguish the identity of individual buildings, and incorporate features such as large windows, spacious balconies, generous lobbies and high ceilings.
