Listed Building - Grade I
Shinz Design take pride in our contribution as the lead architect in the revival of the derelict Grade II Listed Building, with great results. Working closely with Southwark Conversation and Historical England, Shinz Design took on the challenge to repair and restore damages caused by both historical neglect and informal settlers, with a stunning outcome. The design outcome was upheld by a well-planned programme, with a fresh, modern layout and attention to detail bringing the best out of the historical building. Situated at the junction between Blackfriars Road and Stamford Street of London South bank SE1, this Grade II Listed Building was once occupied by the Central Bank of London and the Midland Bank. Surviving records from the Central Bank of London show that they occupied the building from at least 1863, before shifting to Midland Bank when they amalgamated with the Central Bank of London in 1891. Midland Bank moved out of the building around 1970s, before the HSBC took over the site.
