Shinz Desing was presented with the challenging task of transforming an existing ground and partial first-floor flat, into a large, bright, and airy family home. Located within the Highgate Conservation Area and the Milton Restricted Conservation Area, the project had to work around the constraints of a compact city. However, with a great understanding of the local planning maze, Shinz Design took on the challenge methodically, whilst establishing good teamwork with the client and various consultants, especially during the planning stages. The project introduced an 8m long ground floor infill extension and 3m first floor extension, the result of which was overwhelmingly successful, providing a classical touch to a modern lifestyle, and creating sustainable living spaces for the client to rest their mind in the metropolis.
