The building houses the departments of Mathematics, Photon Science, and Astronomy.It is formed of three blocks which protrude and recede creating a dynamism enlivened by cantilevered projections. An oversailing roof unifies the three blocks and supports a photvoltaic array which provides 40,900kWhr per annum translating to a potential saving of 17,000kg of carbon dioxide each year.
