the collegiate - shedkm’s first project for developers urban splash involved taking a ruined grade II listed school designed by harvey lonsdale elmes (architect of st george’s hall) and inserting 96 ‘loft’ style apartments around a wide double height corridor. the fire damaged octagonal theatre becomes a formal garden, and the neo gothic decorated windows of the main facade stand in front of planar glass internal walls. the design has won RIBA, civic trust & housing design awards
