We are working with the Amar-Frances Foster-Jenkins Trust to transform a substantial detached Arts & Crafts house in the Mapesbury Conservaiton Area into high quality accommodation for post-graduate students. The project, which has full planning consent, involves refurbishing, remodelling and extending the property to create a series of en-suite study bedrooms and communal living spaces. In addition to the main property, we are building a separate rehearsal room in the garden. The proportion, form and volume has been tailored to provide an exceptional acoustic environment. The asymmetric roof helps the acoustic performance of the space and responds to the two main axis of the site.
