Uber Raum Architects are designing a restaurant which will reanimate a derelict building in London, near Harrods, set to open in 2017. Several different dining zones are created in the restaurant, which includes an outside space with pavement café tables, an inner reception and bar area, and a winter garden with a glazed roof bringing sunlight directly into the heart of the restaurant. The interior features burnished metal wall cladding and a sculptural timber soffit, to produce a tactile and welcoming ambience. Atop the existing building, two new apartments will be created within a new rooftop extension.
