Completed March 2012. 3 to 5 Park View is in the village of Hersham in Surrey. The site is currently occupied by a 10,000ft² commercial building that is outmoded and un-lettable. The site is on the boundary of the main village conservation area and adjacent to a Grade II listed building. Following SCd's successful outline application for change of use to residential with the addition of a new penthouse level, the client decided to develop a new detail planning application for a new build scheme of 14, 2 bed, residential flats. Using the constraints established with the outline scheme SCd designed a scheme that is both contemporary and yet sympathetic to it context. Each apartment has been designed so that every living space has views over the green and small amenity space. The penthouse level has extensive external terracing.
