Consent was achieved for this 145,000ft², 18 storey tower by Stephen whilst at HLM Architects. Since consent was granted SCd Architects have been appointed to reassess the development strategy in order to achieve an additional 20,000ft² within the restrictions of the existing consent. SCd appraised every element of the building from the vertical core strategy to the plant distribution and location. Working closely with the design team, the target of an additional 20,000ft² has been achieved creating a building with a net lettable floor area of 165,000ft². This £45 million building will be the tallest building in Woking and the tallest in the South East outside the M25, excluding the south coast towns of Portsmouth and Southampton.
