Cococure is well-loved nightclub in the middle of London and has been transformed into a playful, multi-functional space. A deceptively intricate design split across several levels creates a multi-faceted entertainment space where everyone can be doing different activities, all under Cococure’s roof. Named “the home of Afrobeats”, Scaleruler has now turned it into a fully transitional space, whilst being sympathetic to the brands philosophy and origins through bold patterns and colours. The ground floor hosts a cocktail lounge – think speak easy style. There is now the opportunity to host video streaming, podcast recording and live music on the staged area. Pairing the bespoke metalwork with softer, plush furnishings makes this an uber cool, relaxed area. Downstairs, the thoughtful design continues. The dance floor has now been transformed into an event space which is durable enough for film premiers, networking events and themed nights. The flooring is a unique colourful resin which compliments the transitional lighting on the dance floor. There are more intimate pockets of spaces separated by louvres which are very apt for the current hospitality scene, as well as more open spaces for socialising. The branded lighting has become Cococure’s hallmark. Every corner can be a photo opportunity. Both levels have been fully refurbished to create a bright, bold and exciting atmosphere whatever the mood. You can grab a bite to eat upstairs and head downstairs later in the evening. With a busy and ever changing climate, it is important to create designs that allow for smart layouts, exciting activities and being able to utilise this all year round is crucial. This project successfully champions Cococure’s authentic, playful self; which fits the cliental.
