Set along the banks of the River Dee and with a backdrop of the Farndon Dee Cliffs, a site of special scientific interest, we were appointed to gain planning permission for a five bedroom dwelling with first floor reception room overlooking the river. Being in the Farndon Conservation Area, with the Farndon Cliffs behind and proximity to the River Dee, there were a number of planning issues to be dealt with, including protection of the cliff and ensuring the property was built at a safe level above the highest recorded flood level. Following the successful planning approval, SBS Design were further involved with the Building Regulations and construction phases.
