West Kensington Office Refurbishment & Extension upgrades a 1980s office building, delivering modern workspace and a new rooftop addition. Completed in phases to allow continued occupation, the project refurbishes existing floors with new services, flexible layouts and improved environmental performance. A new mansard roof extension adds 2,500 sq ft of office space, designed to respond to the surrounding conservation area. Constructed using prefabricated elements to minimise disruption, the extension is clad in pre-oxidised copper shingles with projecting oak-framed windows bringing light deep into the plan. The project demonstrates how existing buildings can be revitalised to deliver high-quality, adaptable workspace.
