Rowan Court is an award-winning housing development in Seven Sisters, Haringey, delivering 46 new council homes for Haringey Council on a constrained estate-edge site in North London. Satish Jassal Architects masterplanned the development to transform underused land into a high-quality, sustainable residential neighbourhood while improving the wider estate. The scheme provides 46 homes for 100% social rent, including apartments, family townhouses and intergenerational maisonettes. Every home is dual or triple aspect, providing excellent levels of natural daylight, ventilation and outlook, with a strong emphasis on family housing and inclusive design. A new public square, landscaped courtyard and mews street create safer pedestrian routes, improve connections through the estate and establish new shared spaces for residents and the wider community. The car-free development incorporates air-source heat pumps, photovoltaic panels and a highly energy-efficient building fabric, achieving an 81% on-site reduction in regulated carbon emissions. Winner of the RIBA London Award 2026, Civic Trust Award 2026 and Housing Design Award 2025, Rowan Court demonstrates our experience as housing architects in Haringey and London, specialising in council housing, affordable housing, social housing, estate regeneration and constrained urban sites.
