Haringey Glazed Extension is a contemporary house extension and refurbishment of a Victorian townhouse in Stroud Green, Haringey, North London, within a conservation area. Satish Jassal Architects transformed the existing home through extensive reconfiguration, resolving damp and structural issues while carefully restoring its original character. A new double-height glazed and oak-framed rear extension creates a dramatic, light-filled living space with a strong connection to the garden. A frameless glazed corner opens views to the garden and sky, while the open-plan layout improves circulation, daylight and the relationship between the existing house and new extension. Internally, a bespoke oak and steel staircase and suspended lighting elements introduce a sculptural quality, complementing the carefully detailed timber and glass architecture.
