Satish Jassal Architects

19 Wharfdale Road , LONDON , N1 9SB

Satish Jassal Architects have transformed a rundown corner opposite Bounds Green underground station. An additional floor has been added to the corner, increasing the office and residential accommodation above. After many years of neglect and unsympathetic alterations, this 1930’s building has been given a new lease of life. The design references the Art Deco nature of Bounds Green Underground Station designed by Charles Holden. The design introduces projecting curving horizontal lines and tall glazed window. In a dynamic way, the proposal marks a key corner on a busy junction of Haringey. http://www.satishjassal.co.uk/content/bounds-green-corner
