Lignum Table is an artistic table designed to showcase wood’s exceptional potential, especially in the context of Industry 4.0. The design draws inspiration from nature and traditional handcrafted tables, utilizing computational design tools to achieve a flowing structure that optimizes the table’s strength by eliminating excess material and introducing openings that reduce its weight and enhance material distribution. The design features continuous, nature-inspired geometries with alternating convex and concave shapes, creating interplays of shadows that accentuate the topological continuity and fluidity found in forms evolved through natural optimization processes.
