The existing house was an unattractive bungalow located on a beautiful green belt site in Cobham, Surrey. The brief was to enlarge and aesthetically overhaul the bungalow to provide a modern, sustainable home. Stepping through a complex planning process which used permitted development rights to establish the maximum footprint for the site before returning with a design which provided a distinctive house in keeping with its rural location which maximised views towards the ancient forest.
