Littlemead Cottage is a traditional Cotswold cottage in Amberley, near Stroud. A two storey extension added a double height living space and mezzanine to provide a new living room and snug. The design is carefully formed within the site, built into the hillside to provide a light filled space, with rear first floor access to the garden. Natural Cotswold stone and an oak frame combine to create a complementary design to the original cottage, with sensitively formed contemporary details which are also respectful of the classic proportions and traditional design of the historic Cotswold Cottage.
