The Stockwell Hall of Fame began life as the brutalist, sunken play area for the local Stockwell Park Estate, built in the 1950s. It is now a very successful multi-use community space, providing a better place for residents to play and relax while ensuring that the established street art community can continue to paint the walls inside and showcase their work. Selected walls were demolished to improve access and safety, a new podium was built to split the space into 2 useable zones and new flooring and cladding improved the tired aesthetics. The finished refurbishment provides a space that is open to many different communities. It hosts varied activities including sports, community gatherings, yoga, kids' games, graffiti art, music events and films. The scheme was awarded a Highly Commended at the Civic Trust Awards 2020
