Rock Townsend are working with Hill to develop the approved design and deliver the scheme on behalf of Cambridge Investment Partnership. The initial design was by Allies and Morrison Architects to RIBA Stage 2+. Delivered in two phases, the scheme comprises a new build residential development of 233 dwellings of which 50% will be socially rented council homes and 50% private sale. The development is a mix of terraced and mews style houses plus apartment blocks, designed to maximise housing while remaining sensitive to the existing community. It also includes a community centre, basement car parking, landscaping, children’s play area and the conversion of the existing Gatehouse into a small commercial unit.
