A series of lightweight building elements conceived to provide enhanced sports accommodation and leisure facilities set within the natural surroundings of designated Metropolitan Open Land. Robin Walker Architects were commissioned to undertake design proposals for an extensive redevelopment of the Tooting Mitcham Football Club at Imperial Fields, South London. Our brief was to provide new accommodation consisting of ancillary football stadium stands, a gymnasium / sports hall, a health centre, artificial pitches along with extensive landscape works throughout the site. The design proposals were developed in accordance with Sport England requirements and the site scheme forged upon self-sustainability principles. The design proposals have been granted planning consent and the scheme development is currently in process.
