We really enjoyed working with local craft brewer Abbeydale Brewery during the 4 years it took to develop the design; both architecture and interiors; obtain planning consent and carry out construction on site. The project was completed for Christmas 2015.   The project represents a significant extension to this well known pub in south-west Sheffield. Our design has enlarged the lounge area by around 50%, replaced the world weary toilet facilities, provided a brand new production kitchen and made a new entrance atrium from the car park which also brings light into the lounge area. RAA were also involved in the interior decoration of the pub, using a traditional pub style and giving it a modern twist. Some fun features were also added, such as beer kegs which have been modified for use as urinals!     Whilst the external design is in harmony with the Edwardian arts and craft styling of the existing building, the striking new interior is a major enhancement which has won almost universal approval from both longstanding regulars and new visitors.
