Conversion and sub-division of a group of listed buildings and wheelwrights barn to create two additional dwellings together with home office space and garaging. The project was completed in phases by two clients both having extensive building experience and strong aspirations. The main house and 'Tap Room' were extensively refurbished and patiently restored using traditional techniques and materials. The wheelwrights barn was extended using structural insulated panels (SIPS) with cedar cladding and oak framed windows and doors. The new element was linked to the existing stone barn by a glazed entrance area. The project was supported by both the planning and conservation departments.
