The young family asked us to design a contemporary extension to a detached house in Newcastle’s Great Park. The extension includes the addition of an open plan kitchen, diner and lounge to create an open plan living space. The kitchen has large areas of glazing and contemporary skylights to maximise light. A cedar fin in the middle of the extension provides clever screening to the neighbouring properties for maximum privacy. A simple, contemporary landscaping scheme helps to create connections with outside.
