Focusing on the symbiotic relationship between internal and external spaces leads to the free-flowing backdrop for rural living in this hugely rewarding brief. Inspired by medieval manors and hall houses, the home is formed of interconnected wings that emerge organically from the landscape in materials including English oak, stone and thatch. With sustainability enhanced by innovative technology we created a genuinely new typology – an authentic country house for the 21st century.
