Alteration to existing property, Brownfield site, Sited in Greenbelt land
Chetwynde , Liverpool Road , Tarleton , PRESTON , Lancashire , PR4 6HP
Barn conversion Ulnes Walton Lane Ulnes Walton. The barn was originally used to house feed and provide shelter for animals, particularly dairy cows when the dairy was in use. The decline in dairy farming on the site resulted in the barn and dairy becoming largely redundant. The deterioration in the building fabric had reduced the buildings ability to store items safely and securely and the stability of the building was at risk. The site lies within the Green Belt. The client requirements included the conversion of the barn into two 4 bed dwellings to a high standard with a level of insulation well above the current standards and to satisfy the requirements of the Lifetime Homes.
