The building provides new head offices for Lucy Properties. The design has been carefully developed to conserve the quality of the existing building whilst adding a contemporary new upper floor and an access and services wing. This enables use of the basement and upper floors of the building in accordance with full disabled-access requirements. Architecturally, the development is a combination of contemporary detailing and design, and the use of traditional materials. One particularly successful aspect of the scheme is the quality of brickwork detailing and the success of the amalgamation of old and new elements of the building into what is a seamless piece of architectural design.
