Contact PracticeReiach and Hall Architects is one of Scotland’s most innovative and integrated design practices. Over the past 5 decades the practice has pioneered a sustainable approach to architecture through a strikingly wide range of work, from urban and community masterplans, public infrastructure and industrial buildings, railway stations, hospitals and research institutes, universities and further education colleges, offices and workplaces to private houses and product design. Each of these sectors helping to inform the others. Based in Edinburgh the practice now has its 5th generation of directors and is working internationally with recent designs for projects in the US and the Caribbean. Reiach and Hall Architects has won over 80 Architectural Awards in the last ten years - including 9 RIBA National Awards and, twice, the British Construction Industry Building of the Year Award. We are one of only three practices in the UK to have been shortlisted for the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize three years in a row – 2015 for our Maggie’s Lanarkshire project, 2016 for our City of Glasgow College, Riverside Campus and 2017 for our City of Glasgow College, City Campus. Our commitment to research and development has allowed us to bring our combined expertise to bear on a varied range of projects around the world. Our approach is sensitive to location and culture, often combining the latest advances in building technology with techniques drawn from vernacular tradition; and we harness the skills, enthusiasm and knowledge of integrated design teams, clients and communities to create inspirational environments.
