Our Client, with whom we had worked previously, came to us with a site that had a Class Q prior notice approval for converting the existing barn to a dwelling. We worked closely with our Client to develop a scheme for a replacement, new-build, low energy use family home. The challenges we had to overcome included: - the dwelling being in open-countryside, and so therefore contrary to planning policy - the local objections to the scheme - addressing the impact of the dwelling on the site ecology and working to reduce that impact and where possible, look to enhance the setting
