Our Client came to us via recommendation with a desire to build an ultra-low energy home within their existing large garden plot. The site is on the edge of town with existing dwellings to one side and open meadow and countryside to the other. We overcame many challenges during the planning process but ultimately succeeded in gaining consent for the three-bedroomed family home. The scheme is now being designed for construction utilising high thermal mass, super insulation and air-tightness combined with mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, solar panels and battery storage to create a self-sufficient family home. Work is planned to start on site in summer 2025.
