This sprawling bungalow in Woldingham had undergone a number of previous extensions over the years and the house just did not hang together in a cohesive manner with no clear entrance to the property and only two bedrooms, despite a sizeable footprint. Currently under construction and due to complete in summer 2026, the property is undergoing a complete renovation with new side and rear extensions unlocking the footprint to create an enviable three bedroom family home with more private and usable external space. The property’s greenbelt location restricted the volume we could add but there were significant efficiencies to be gained by consolidating the existing footprint without significantly increasing it. An existing conservatory is being replaced with a new flat roofed rear extension to accommodate a spacious new open plan kitchen / dining / family room benefitting from both front and rear glazing with bi-folding doors onto a reconfigured private rear courtyard. A new side extension will provide a bright new entrance hallway and boot room while alterations to the roof have enabled the creation of a vaulted ceilinged central lobby with a large 2-in-1 roof window flooding the space with natural light. Improvements have been made to the master bedroom while a much needed third guest double bedroom has also been created.
