A whole house renovation was undertaken of this detached four-bedroomed property on a quiet residential road in St Albans, transforming it into an enviable five double-bedroom/three bathroom family home with generous family and entertaining space and improved garden connections. Alterations to the property included the demolition of an existing detached single storey garage, the construction of a wrap around single storey side/rear extension, new projecting rear window seat bay, a modest two storey front extension, substantial internal reconfiguration work as well as a spacious loft conversion. Reavell Architects undertook architectural design Stages 1-4, from initial measured survey of the existing property, through concept design and planning to preparation of technical design information in conjunction with structural design and submission of a building regulations application on behalf of the clients.
