Reardon Smith Architects Limited
Reardon Smith Architects Limited , 10-13 The Leathermarket , Weston Street , London , SE1 3ER , United Kingdom
Acting for Qatari Diar, the owners of The Chancery Rosewood (previously known as the American Embassy in London), ReardonSmith is leading one of Europe’s most prestigious hotel projects. Our role is to facilitate the conversion of the building into a world-class luxury hotel. Working alongside Design Architect, David Chipperfield Architects, we provided operational guidance and expert advice during RIBA stages 1-3. From RIBA stage 4 we assumed leadership of the project as Executive Architect. Our current role, having been novated to the Main Contractor, Multiplex, includes overseeing the successful implementation of the architecture and interior design of the project on-site. The scheme will create a 137 guestroom Rosewood hotel with a variety of restaurants & bars, a luxury spa, a grand ballroom and flagship retail spaces. The Grade II listed architectural characteristics of the building, completed in 1960, will be retained, refurbished and enhanced.
