To accommodate new larger Fire Appliances within the Greater London Area existing Fire Stations were upgraded. RSP undertook works at Sidcup where a 2 vehicle new Appliance Bay was required. RSP undertook preliminary feasibility designs to present various options and to develop a phasing strategy that would permit the whole development to be undertaken whilst maintain Fire Service operations from the building. This entailed 4 separate phases of construction with careful design of safe working areas and separation of construction and Fire Brigade operations. RSP undertook the Planning negotiations for this 'Locally Listed' building and achieved consent so as to enable detailed design to be progressed through to a traditional tender process. RSP also assisted with the contract administration during construction and attended site regularly to monitor the phasing works and quality
