The Project included the refurbishment,extension and conversion of existing offices into a mixed,retail,office and 79 bedroom hotel for Travelodge within the Welwyn Garden City centre conservation area. The existing building was built in the 1960's and is one of a number designed in a style replicating typical Garden City architecture of its time. The works provided a complete building refurbishment and overhaul with an infill four storey extension to the rear of the building,delivering additional floorspace in use classes C1 & B1. Two existing office floors were changed to hotel use and the remainder refurbished to modern office letting standards,the extension formed part office part hotel use
