Rance Booth Smith Architects are Architects for the Scientific Support Unit for West Yorkshire Police. This new build £18 million scheme incorporates state of the art laboratories and offices. There are fingerprint development laboratories and forensic science laboratories with clean room facilities. The new laboratories provide scientific analysis from scenes of crime in support of the whole of West Yorkshire Police and other adjacent forces. Green concepts include ground source heat pumps, an 'excellent' BREEAM rating, sedum roof covering, natural ventilation and water recycling.
