Leading South Asian arts organisation Kala Sangam appointed Rance Booth Smith to undertake works on their grand entrance and refurbishment works to St Peter's House, a prestigious Grade II listed building in Forster Square, Bradford. The building once housed the Life Force faith museum and previously was the main Post Office. The project was to create an impressive new glass entrance façade for the building with new access lift to all floors, along with a new theatre space. Funded by Arts Council England, this project is part of a phased programme of refurbishment works covering all three floors, creating theatre spaces, café, artists workshops and conference facilities. The new entrance provides greater access for all to the many facilities Kala Sangam have on offer including dance classes, workshops and training covering all aspects of art, dance and theatre. The new multipurpose theatre seats up to 120 people.
