Race Cottam has acted as Leeds Beckett University’s sole framework architect since 2012. Whilst our work has included the design of major masterplans for the University’s two campuses at Leeds City and Headingley, we have also completed a series of refurbishment projects at the City campus in order to transform their existing estate into a modern and vibrant campus, with the student experience at its heart. Works have included a full redesign and refurbishment of the Portland building lobby and staircase, conceptual plans for the University’s signage and branding in order to improve its presence within the city streetscape, and a full reconfiguration and refurbishment of the Sheila Silver Library, phase 1 of which has been completed.
