This project was conceived and completed in two stages, the orignal brief was to create a modern, stylish master suite within the existing loft space to take advantage of dramatic views. Internally, access required careful planning and design, the use of natural light providing a sense of space that is constantly changing that never ceases to delight. Following the completion of the intial phase PWJ Architects were appointed again to re-plan the ground floor to create an open plan kitchen dining area. This was achieved through the addition of a fully glazed enclosure with full height sliding doors which lead out to a landscaped terrace. The transition between the existing house and the new contemporary additions is merged with the use of obscured glass doors. The result is a light, open and flexible space which links seemlessly with the new landscaped garden.
