Aerospace Bristol is a new award-winning aviation museum located on the historically signifi cant Filton Airfi eld. Having experienced the conversion of the Grade II listed Hangar 16S into a museum that houses the Bristol Aero Collection of 8000 artefacts and Bristol-built aircraft, visitors are lead into a new tailor-made building for the star of the show; Concorde Alpha Foxtrot, the last in the series of 20 planes to be built and the last ever Concorde to fly. Purcell led the multi-disciplinary team to restore the historic hangers and design the contemporary new museum building.
