Mount House was a new 10,000 sq ft replacement dwelling in Highclere, Hampshire. Permission was granted for the demolition of a locally designated historic asset in the derelict house that occupied the site. The dsign challenge was that it was to address all aspects of the garden and had four active elevations, each connecting to views and aspects of the gardens and the wooded setting. The design incorporates the latest in energy efficient design including ultra-efficient heat storage and energy reclamation systems.
