This project is for Fusion Lifestyle, to refurbish and extend three swimming pools and leisure centres for the London Borough of Hounslow. The existing buildings are diverse in architectural style, and generally in very poor condition, having suffered from a lack of maintenance over the last 10-15 years. The leisure centres are located at Feltham Airparcs, Isleworth and Chiswick New Pool. The project is extremely challenging as it requires a fundamental refurbishment and significant extensions of all the buildings, expanding the leisure facilities where possible, with new gyms, studios, new wet and dry changing facilities, health suites, community rooms, crèche and soft play facilities and cafes. In the case of two of the leisure centres, Hounslow's local libraries are to be integrated into the design: • Feltham • Isleworth, where the existing library will be linked to the new leisure centre. The building facilities have to remain open during the works, and must be constructed during a 9 month period. These constraints must not affect the desired final locations of the various facilities.
