Residential refurbishment and improvement This property initially consisted of a house attached to two disused barns. The house was fully refurbished and the barns converted to provide a new four Bedroom wing with En-suite and Bathroom and a new family Dining / Kitchen. The property was re-roofed throughout in natural slate and the walls and roofs heavily insulated to exceed current requirements. Heating was replaced with a solar heating and air source heat pump combination to minimise future heating costs. The roofing sub-contractor was awarded a Craftsmanship Merit Award for the standard of the slate roofing and flashings to the property by the York Guild of Building.
