Our design for this modern and modest extension complements the existing Grade II Listed Georgian house and makes it suitable to serve a group of retiring Sisters of the Sacred Heart. The extension wraps around the ground floor, seamlessly linking the kitchen and living room to a set of new spaces for dining and worshipping. The project provides all the comforts of home, privacy, underfloor heating and level access. Although, the existing building has limited floor to ceiling height and is overshadowed by the neighbouring school, the exposed timber structure and full height windows maximise the internal volume of the space and provide the Sisters with a bright home for the future.
